Give ONE idea about the human person using picture and key words
to represent them.
1) Being a human person is complex; it has many layers which are unraveled as we
live life. 2) We exist in a constant moral dilemma–in a world full of ideas, concepts,
norms, laws, and whatnot created by man himself. 3) And I think this is what separates
us from other entities, our capacity for reasoning, knowledge, conscience, morality,
awareness of time and space, free will, and socialization.
4) A human person is capable of reasoning and knowledge. 5) I believe that man’s
continuous pursuit of knowledge is what expanded society as it is today. 6) We
constantly acquire facts from our environment and experiences, and we are able to
give our own unique interpretations and meanings to them. 7) We are able to utilize
this in a wider society, in order to act in a logical and rational manner.
8) In relation to this, I believe a human person is built on morality, conscience,
and various guiding principles. We are capable of differentiating what is right and what
is wrong. 9) We do not act solely based on our urges and instincts.10) To be mindful of
the consequences of our thoughts and actions is something that we are socialized with
as we grow up. 11) We are aware of the different choices and options we have to make,
and we are capable of devising alternative courses of action that are acceptable to
society.
12) Considering these things, a human person is a social being who does not only
exist for himself. 13) I believe a piece of us is constructed in relation to interactions
with other people. 14) Our beliefs, attitudes, habits, and virtues are something that we
adapt from being exposed in various cultures and societies. 15) Whilst being a unique
person with a free will, we also bear responsibility towards other people who have
freedom like us.
16) Lastly, a human person is capable of self-actualization and goal-making.
17) This gives meaning to our lived experiences. 18) And this is also because
we have an awareness of the past, present, and the future. 19) We do
things with the intention of becoming the best version of ourselves.
20) To know what it is to become human as we go through this life.
What are the things you consider the role of a
person with social responsibility? Use the present
situation of Pandemic COVID-19 to answer this
question.
1) A person with social responsibility is a person who shows compassion and
mindfulness towards others. 2) We as members of society do not solely act based
on our personal wants and needs but also meaningfully contribute to the
betterment of society at large. 3) To illustrate, we especially see this at a time of a
global health crisis where millions of people are affected.
4) The COVID-19 restrictions have challenged all of us to become more
responsible and sensitive toward other people's situations. 5) This is simply
displayed by staying at home, wearing masks, and practicing physical distancing as
much as possible to avoid the spread of the virus. 6) These practices are different
from what we are used to but a person who cares for the community they live in
will do this to avoid the possibility of infecting a multitude of people.
7) It is also to be noted that COVID-19 pandemic has not only put people's
health at risk, but it also has put a strain on our social and economic conditions. 8)
Various societal issues were magnified at the height of the pandemic where all
people are equally struggling with their livelihood. 9) The normalcy of our lives was
temporarily put to halt, so we all had to adjust, most especially the working class.
10) In this note, social responsibility can be observed in companies and different
government institutions as well. 11) Business and company owners who truly care
about its employees will prioritize their safety and wellness above all. 12) To
recognize the importance of its people and to help them at a time of struggle is a
true meaning of an institution built on humane values. 13) After all, practicing social
responsibility in this aspect creates motivated employees and better working
conditions which equate to a better economic output as well.
14) Additionally, the awareness of different issues affecting the community is
one way to empathize with people going through difficulties at this time. 15)
Engaging in important discussions or just learning about issues regarding the
Philippines' fractured health policies is one way to show that we care about the
people who need better access to them. 16) I believe that a person who embodies
social responsibility uses their voice whether they are directly affected or not. 17)
They value their rights as citizens especially when the people in power disregard
their responsibilities to the country. 18) Despite the lack of accountability from the
government, seeing Filipinos come together to share their resources to donate,
especially the infamous "community pantry" is another testament of our
compassion and our strong sense of responsibility towards one another.
19) As social beings, despite having the freedom to act in ways the benefit our
selves, I believe that caring is also something inherent in most of us. 20) Although
we may display this in unique ways, it builds trust among people and keeps the
orderliness of our society even in times of challenge like the COVID-19 pandemic.
“He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their
Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”Proverbs 14:31
1) For me, this bible verse is a good reminder and a guiding principle for all
people–especially when it comes to our differences in socioeconomic status and
living conditions. 2) This sheds light on how God views the rich and the poor equally;
that it is important to show kindness and grace towards one another regardless of
our place in society. 3) Anyone who discriminates and deceives vulnerable people
dishonors God while people who genuinely show their compassion in ways that help
the poor honors Him. 4) This highlights how we can truly embody the image of God,
because how we treat the poor is also a reflection of how we would treat Him and
welcome Him in our homes in times of struggle.
5) In a third-world country like the Philippines where 24% of the population are
still plunged below the poverty line, it is a sad thought that upward mobility remains
to be a concept because of widespread corruption in politics and policies that has
put us into economic crisis. 6) And most of the time they are blamed for their socioeconomic conditions, when in fact many factors contributes to this especially the
lack of opportunities and inequity. 7) They are often tagged as lazy people, as ills and
burden of society. 8) But many people tend to forget that God loved poor people and
He will be the first one to seek justice for them. 9) Their continuous oppression is a
huge offense to God, as they are people close to His heart and He was also one of
them.
10) Greed for power and dishonesty has kept many people stuck in poverty. 11)
Many politicians in this Christian/Catholic-dominated country like to hide behind
the words of God. 12)They go to church and preach about how the Lord is gracious
and kind but they themselves participate in the oppression of the masses. 13) They
take advantage of people and create promises to improve their lives if they win a seat
without even seeing the deeper underlying causes of poverty. 14) In reality, a huge
number of Filipinos has long been experiencing a continuous struggle with their
living conditions due to high levels of unemployment, low wages, and the burden of
taxes that are unreasonable to the income they earn. 15) Meanwhile, the gap
between rich and poor is ever-growing; money is amassed by huge corporations and
politicians who have connections to them. 16) The material wealth they have is so
much more than what they need in this lifetime. 17) They have created political
systems to work for their benefit. 18) More often than not, the policies they create
are anti-poor. 19) This power structure has kept many people stagnant and
exploited.
20) If only these kinds of people truly understand and embody what God means
when He speaks of equality, I believe the material resources that we have
in this world will be enough for all of us and no one will have to experience
extreme poverty and socioeconomic struggles.
