BEATO Teacher/Adviser Sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought or idea. it has two main parts the Subject (doer) and the Predicate (the action being done by the subject). Example: Khate is dancing gracefully. Subject Predicate 1. Exclamatory Sentence - makes a statement that conveys strong emotion such as excitement, joy, anger or fear. - it is always ends in exclamation mark (!) Example: I hate you! (anger) Oh no! I lost my cellphone! (fear) It’s my birthday! (joy) My mother is preparing a party for me! 2.Declarative Sentence gives information, states facts or opinion. it always ends with a period. Example: Sorsogon is one of the six provinces in Bicol. Manila is the Capital City of the Philippines. 3.Interrogative Sentence simply ask questions. it always ends with a question mark. Example: Do you know the name of our principal? How many are in the class? 4.Imperative Sentence issues a command or a request. it may end on either a period or an exclamation mark. Example: Clean your room! (command) Please fall in line.
