Lectio Divina Summative Assignment
Theme: The theme I chose for my Lectio Divina is trusting God in uncertainty, this means having
faith, surrendering worries, seeking guidance through prayer, and finding peace in the belief that there is a
divine plan and purpose, even when faced with unpredictable and challenging situations.
Passage: The passage I chose for my Lectio Divina is Proverbs 3:5-6 which states: “Trust in the Lord
with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will
make your paths straight”. I chose this passage because it directly connects with my theme of trusting
God in uncertain times, encouraging you to trust completely in God's guidance instead of relying only on
your own understanding, the promise is that if you submit to God, your path will become clear and
purposeful.
Opening Prayer: In The name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, we come before you with grateful hearts for the promise that as we trust in you, you will
make our paths straight. In the twists and turns of life, we find security in your steadfast love. We offer
thanks to you for guiding us. Take this Lectio Divina as an offering of our gratitude, and bless our
thinking as we hope it will bring us closer to you. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit. Amen.

Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not
into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the time we’ve spent
reflecting on your words. Bless us with your grace, and may this reflection strengthen our connection with
you. Amen. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
