Understanding Intercultural Relations
At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
a. Discuss the concept of intercultural relations.
b. Exhibit skills and talents through spoken poetry
c. Appreciate and reflect on learning experiences from the concept of
intercultural relations.
Peace and values education is the process of acquiring values, knowledge,
attitudes, skills, and behaviors to live in harmony with oneself, others, and the
natural environment.


Discussion of the session objectives
Short introduction of the subtheme, “intercultural relations”.
*The teacher will provide a short introduction and discussion about the
subtheme. A link to the article may be send to learners with internet
connection. For modular learners, the teacher may send screenshot of the

Individual Composition of Short-Spoken Poetry in any of the
following categories:
a. difference in religion/faith/beliefs
b. language preferences in school (Filipino and/or English)
c. communication technology used (modern and/or traditional)
*Students will compose a 2-minute spoken poetry piece. They are allowed to
choose from the above a category that suits their interests. Output of the
presentation may be delivered thru verbal (video-with internet connection) or
non-verbal (written composition-for modular learners). Medium of delivery
maybe in Filipino or English.
