INTRODUCTION
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
The “Guest Tracker and Hospitality Management System” is a
comprehensive web application designed for registered users. It
provides a platform to manage various aspects of a hotel, including
room types, departments, restaurants, medical services, and sports
facilities. The system enables users to oversee the services used by
guests and streamline room reservations. It also offers real-time
information about room availability, taking into account guest check-ins
and reservations. The primary goal of this system is to enhance the
efficiency of hotel operations and elevate the guest experience. This
system is an integral part of our broader hotel management system.
These objectives are the unique and advanced goals the system seek
to achieve. These are:
Problem statement:
In the hospitality sector, reliance on manual processes often leads to
inefficiencies, delays, and errors in meeting guest needs, which can
negatively impact the guest experience. The lack of real-time data
hinders hotels’ ability to make timely decisions, efficiently allocate
resources,
and
provide
personalized
services.
Ineffective
communication between departments and staff members can lead to
misunderstandings and delays in responding to guest requests. These
issues combined can potentially decrease guest satisfaction and loyalty.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The system is developed to attain the following general goals :
 Manage Guest Requests: Create a central platform for handling
guest requests and tracking their progress.
 Track Daily Service Requests: Show the number of service requests
made each day .
 Predict Hotel Occupancy: Provide an estimate of how many guests
will stay at the hotel next week
 Identify High-Spending Customers: Find out who has spent the most
money at the hotel .
 Recognize Regular Guests: Identify guests who visit frequently.
 Reservation Capability: Allow staff to make reservations for various
services like rooms, restaurants, medical services, sports facilities,
and massage rooms
 Employee Information: Provide details about every employee and
their department.
 Advanced Guest Request Management: Develop AI-powered
solutions to predict and automatically handle common guest
requests.
 Real-Time Service Request Tracking: Implement real-time tracking
and updates for service requests.
 Accurate Occupancy Prediction: Improve the accuracy of hotel
occupancy predictions using machine learning algorithms.
 Personalized Offers for High-Spending Customers: Create
personalized offers and services for high-spending customers to
enhance their stay experience.
 Loyalty Program for Regular Guests: Develop a loyalty program to
reward frequent visitors with special benefits.
 Integrated Reservation System: Integrate the reservation system
with third-party platforms for wider accessibility.
 Employee Performance Tracking: Implement a system to track and
evaluate employee performance for better staff management.
METHODOLOGY
This is an online application developed using PHP, CodeIgniter, and MySQL.
It’s specifically designed for hotels to manage their records in a simplified
manner. The application boasts an appealing interface, courtesy of the
Bootstrap Framework, and prioritizes user-friendliness to ensure a seamless
experience for its users. Essentially, it’s a digital solution that assists hotels in
maintaining well-organized and easily accessible information.
