USING OJS FUNCTIONALITIES TO INITIATE ONLINE TRANSLATION MANAGEMENT OF INDONESIAN FOLKTALES HERO PATRIANTO THE LANGUAGE OFFICE OF EAST JAVA PROPOSITION • Online publications between journal articles and translated folktales are similar but one component i.e. translation • OJS functionalities can be copied to manage the publication process of translated Indonesian folktales by replacing section editor role with translator role. BACKGROUND • Translations of foreign literary works are still the mainstream of literary work translation in Indonesia (see Chamber-Loir, 2009:11—12). • Increasing interest on folktales • Folktales as alternative sources of history (see, e.g. Vansina, 1985; Mashuri, 2017) PROBLEMS • Indonesia has many folktales • An effort to make the folktales (in books) internationally accessible is very expensive. • Online sources of Indonesia folktales are mostly unprofessionally managed so that their credibility is often questionable.
