Introductory Comments I'm going to write about my friend in this grit paper. We are best friends. From eighth through twelfth grades, we studied together. She is driven by a strong desire to achieve her goal. She has a nursing degree and is currently employed as a nurse. Her favorite hobby is singing. When I asked why she considered singing as a hobby, she gave an interesting explanation. She said that: singing is a unique activity that may provide you with not only delight and pleasure, but also help you identify yourself as a person or lead to job opportunities that you would not have had otherwise. Gritty Characteristics I knew my friend was more interested in the medical area from the first time I saw her. She determined she wanted to be a nurse after conducting several researches. She began her studies to become a nurse while she was in high school. Even when she visits a hospital, she discusses working as a nurse with the nurses in that hospital. She worked hard in school and received an excellent grade in 12th grade. She got accepted into a public college and has now progressed on to become an amazing nurse. Her professors all treated her well since she was an outstanding student. She is delighted when she can help others. Nursing is both an art and a science, requiring both a heart and a head. A profound respect for human dignity and an intuition for a patient's needs are at its core. This is backed up by the intellect, which provides rigorous fundamental learning. Because the nursing profession encompasses such a wide variety of specialties and sophisticated abilities, each nurse will have unique talents, passions, and expertise. Nurses' responsibilities include anything from direct patient care and case management to setting nursing practice standards, quality assurance processes, and overseeing complicated nursing care systems. Key Points/Major Point about Grit Angela Duckworth describes grit as "passion and continuous determination applied toward longterm performance without regard for rewards or recognition." It combines perseverance, determination, and self-control in the pursuit of long-term objectives that can take months, years, or even decades to achieve. Tortoise-like persons are known for their ability to retain "effort and interest over years despite failure, difficulty, and growth plateaus." Less persistent people, on the other hand, are more quickly disheartened, more likely to "sleep" in the middle of a task, and more easily swayed by new interests. Identifying her weaknesses, creating difficult objectives, receiving honest criticism, experiential learning based on real-life circumstances, focusing on achieving excellent grades, and investing time and effort were some of the deliberate practices my friend utilized. These were all beneficial techniques that assisted her in achieving her aim. Application of Grit I received a 4 on the grit scale, which equals 70%. Scientific studies have discovered that grit is strongly linked to our achievement in school, work, and life. My Grit Score reflects how committed and persistent I am in pursuing my long-term objectives. Grit, or perseverance and enthusiasm for long-term goals, is a key predictor of success, according to Duckworth's TED Talk. Deliberate practice is predicted by grit. In other words, grittier people practice more deliberately. I need to be more social, let go of negative self-talk, practice self-compassion, get some exercise, learn something new, and laugh more to develop my grit. Pay It Forward Grit refers to a person's commitment to achieving long-term goals. I'll also tell my friends about grit. It is critical to have grit. True, you can only be grit if you are passionate and persistent. Grit predicts success in extremely difficult and personally relevant situations. I chose my friend because I knew she was a hard worker. I knew she had been putting in a lot of effort for years to achieve her goal of becoming a nurse. Grit is about having deeper objectives and beliefs that provide purpose to your job and battling to achieve those goals, not about luck, skill, or optimistic thinking. We find the concentration and passion to keep fighting for what we all want to achieve with grit.
