Who is a leader?
Name:
A leader is a person who guides others, leading the way by example, creating
an environment in which his subordinates or other team members feel actively
involved in the entire process. A leader does not act as the boss of the team but,
instead, he is committed to carrying out the mission and goals of the venture.
Anybody can be a good leader, because, leaders are not actually born, they are
made. Leaders are everywhere,
not just in big organizations
and in government but can
also be found in the classrooms
and our homes.
In this module, you will learn:
• The qualities of good
leaders.
• The life stories of great
leaders in South Africa and
internationally.
• Leadership skills.
Work in group of four:
• Identify the leaders in your school, class and in your areas. Identify what makes
them leaders
• Identify the qualities they have in common.
