Objectives: Students will be able to: Know the importance of collaboration and teamwork by working together to create sports-themed hangings for the upcoming Sports Day event. Brainstorm: Divide the class into small groups, with each group consisting of students with different interests and skills. Ask each group to brainstorm ideas for sports-themed hangings related to cricket, basketball, and football. Encourage creativity and diversity in their ideas. The teacher can show them the pictures of different hangings to get ideas. Name the Groups: The teacher can divide the class into 3 groups and name them Group 1: Cricket, Group 2: 1 hour (60 minutes) Football, Group 3: Basketball. Each group will make hangings related to the names of their group. Hanging Making: Assign time for all groups to complete their task. Encourage communication, cooperation, and division of tasks within each group. Walk around the classroom. Divide the required material into each group. Offering guidance and support as needed. Groups will be given 10 min to get prepared for role-play. After that each team will present it. At the end, the teacher will discuss the importance of collaboration with all the learners. At the end of the session, ask each group to briefly share their progress and any challenges they encountered. What do we need? Emphasize the importance of working together to achieve a common goal. Hanging Completion: Review each group's work, offering guidance and making sure that the hangings meet the desired quality and design standards. Allow groups to make final adjustments and embellishments on their sports-themed hangings. 1 hour (60 minutes) Ensure that the hangings are ready for display. Each group will present their sports-themed hangings to the class. Encourage the students to explain their design choices and the collaboration process. Lead a group discussion on what they learned about collaboration, teamwork, and the importance of social skills in this sports project. Wrap up: The teacher will wrap up the lesson by emphasizing the value of teamwork and collaboration in achieving a common goal.
