ABOUT YOU Your trajectory Tell us something about yourself. How has your life evolved so far? What has marked you and what do you appreciate most? Required field My life has been a journey of self-discovery and growth. I have faced many challenges along the way, but each one has taught me valuable lessons and helped me become the person I am today. One of the significant lessons that I learned is that an individual should keep on learning. That is why I have been desperate to always learn new and different things. Despite studying biology, I learned digital marketing. I go on to international relations, political analysis, and Economics. Also, I am currently enrolled in learning coding. Although these are different fields to each other, I learned because I feel this incompletion in me whenever I get to know a topic and do not learn it. As I mentioned before, my golden period-from age 12 to13-was the time I truly started to evolve. That was the time I opened my mind to the world to experience everything that my life brings upon me. Whether it is a hardship or joy. For me, experiences are the key to wisdom. One thing I appreciate is that I kept my passion for cooking alive. In all Pakistani society there is a common perspective that “Men are not meant to be in kitchen” or “Gastronomy is only for girls". Several times I have been pressured to give up my craze to be a professional chef. Called out names in public, targeted in gossip. Even my parents were not spared and were accused of not raising me ‘right.’ Thanks to my family, especially my parents who believed in me and supported me. I was not openly able to participate in cooking competitions in fear of further discrimination that my parents would have faced. I still used to contribute to my school’s Food Gala or Bake Sale that was meant to earn money for donations. Now my parents want me to take a leap. They are backing me to fulfill my dream in gastronomy. Despite so much pressure and gratuitous humiliation, I continued to cook. The other thing I appreciate most about my life is the people in it. My family, friends, and mentors have supported me through thick and thin, and I would not be where I am today without them. Your motivation If you want to be part of Gasma it is because you want to transform your future. What has led you to make this decision? What factors have influenced you to get here? Required field I began cooking at home at the age of 7 and became a famous little chef in my family. In 2020 lockdowns during Covid-19, my family held a small wedding ceremony at home. In that I became an assistant to my uncle, a professional chef in Lahore. That day I realized that my perception of cooking was incorrect, as my uncle was not just adding ingredients, mixing, and serving. I learned that cooking is an art and that I had to experiment with different ingredients to create unique dishes. I learned that cooking is not just about adding ingredients, mixing them, and serving, but about creating a unique taste. I also learned that cooking is not just about cooking, but about embracing the art of cooking. My experience with cooking and baking taught them that an artist can come from anywhere, and that cooking is not just about cooking but about creating unique dishes. That day was a twist as I was moved till my core. I was inspired s I decided that I will be a professional chef, even better then my uncle who would not just be known for his unique dishes but would contribute to modern gastronomy. This is me Tell us a little more about yourself. That will help us to get to know you a little more. Tell us what are some of your qualities. I pour a great deal of energy and care into my relationships. I am always on the lookout for opportunities to succeed l, learn and think outside the box. I am open-minded and willing to consider their input. First thing I ever care is to succeed in my dreams, no matter what. I look for ways and career goals that align with my destination. I hate leaving work pending or almost near the deadline. I focus on threw principles 1) Mistakes give wisdom while hardships give strength, 2) I f want to succeed then one needs to be like a river, that flows and flows until it reaches the sea. 3)Do not complain in life. I love travel especially the historical places. I have toured all of Muscat, Lahore , Gujranwala and Islamabad. I never hesitate to go on another trip. It gives me chance to understand different cultures. The one thing I think I need to improve is in my decision making and actions during complex or multi task situation. I often end up confused and annoyed. Sometimes I end up unsuccessful. During such situation I tend to do problem solving one by one but this consumes a lot of my time.
