Dr. Frankenstein studied death and worked night
after night to create a living human being.

to make him smarter

Dr. Frankenstein wanted to be the first person to
create life from death.
Charlie wanted to be smart/normal like everybody
else!
WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?
WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?
Dr. Frankenstein worked so hard that he became
feverish, pale, and nervous.
Charlie became smarter than everyone else.
HOW DID HE FEEL ABOUT IT?
HOW DID HE FEEL ABOUT IT?
Dr. Frankenstein felt nervous and hesitant about
what he was doing, and he later regretted making
the monster
HOW IS THIS IRONIC?
Charlie still felt out of place, because people were
scared of him, and he was smarter than everyone
else. He felt a lot of anger and frustration.
HOW IS THIS IRONIC?
This is ironic, because the reader expects Dr.
Frankenstein to be happy with his success! But the
result is the opposite of what the reader expects.
Even though Charlie is smarter now, he still feels
just as much out of place, and he is less happy than
he was before the surgery.
NOTE:
BOTH DR. FRANKENSTEIN AND CHARLIE ARE CREATING SOMETHING WHICH IS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND!
