TYPES OF POETRY WRITTEN BY: JONEL E ORPILLA JR. HAIKU Title: Whispers of Nature Whispers of the wind, Nature's symphony unfolds, Harmony in peace. SONNET Title: Twilight's Melody In twilight's embrace, the sun does fade, As shadows lengthen, night takes its hold. A symphony of stars, the sky displayed, A tapestry of dreams, untold. LIMERICK Title: Lou the Dreaming Cat There once was a cat named Lou, Who loved to nap and snooze. He'd curl up tight, All through the night, Dreaming of fish and mice to pursue. FREE VERSE Title: Unbound Expressions In the depths of my mind, thoughts collide, Like waves crashing upon the shore. Words flow freely, untamed and wild, Painting pictures, emotions galore. No rules to bind, no structure to hold, Just the freedom to express and create. Through rhythm and imagery, stories unfold, A symphony of words, a poetic debate. ELEGY Title: Forever in Our Hearts In the quiet stillness of the night, I mourn the loss of a dear friend. Her laughter, her smile, forever bright, A soul so beautiful, it will never end. Gone too soon, a life cut short, Leaving behind memories so dear. Her spirit lingers, a guiding light, In our hearts, forever near.
