Attention Classical Music Lover: The Western Pennsylvania Symphony recently announced its Masterwork Series for the new season. You will be impressed with the quality and programming for this year’s Series. The orchestra and soloists will be performing significant and difficult repertoire. Campbell’s Confections is very proud to be a supporter of the Symphony performances. Saturday, March 10 will feature a former Principal Clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera. You will hear Debussy—Prelude to the “Afternoon of a Faun” and Mozart—Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622. Selected piano works will be featured Saturday, April 14. The selections include Pietro Mascagni— “Intermezzo” from Cavalleria Rusticana, Franz Liszt—Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major, and Dmitri Shostakovich—Symphony No. 5 in D minor, Op. 47.
