Role : HP Quality Center Admin Location : Atlanta, GA Type : Full Time Permanent Role: Senior HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Quality Center (QC), Testing Tool Administrator Role Description: The Senior HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Quality Center (QC), HP Unified Functional Testing and HP Sprinter usage Engineer and Administrator would need to have at least 8 years of experience. This Candidate must have strong communication and technical skills that can manage customer’s enterprise HP ALM tool while providing guidance on best use of these tools to internal project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling effective use of HP ALM/QC to deliver internal project team applic ations and end to end functional testing of integrated multiple systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a high degree of HP tool availability and customer satisfaction. This role includes ALM/QC administrative responsibilities and demonstrated IT capabilities to: Responsibilities: - Analyze business challenges and translates them into requirements, solutions, and estimates to complete installations, implementations, and customization of test tools. - Work with customer executives and IT Business and Technical Architects to develop detailed technical test tool solution designs, configure, test, and deploy new solutions. - Interact with the client to define deliverables and discuss issues, questions, and improvements. - SME role to internal customer project teams, assisting as required in functional test development and configure the functional test infrastructure to validate customer solutions - Frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. - Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. - Provide expertise and guidance to internal project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives. - Provide direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. - Exercising significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. - Use technical expertise to help internal projec t teams and others by answering technical questions regarding the usage, trouble -shooting and functionality of delivery systems products to ensure effective implementation and usage of delivery system products. - Apply knowledge of computing systems to cho ose appropriate troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex, escalated delivery systems problems. - Work with appropriate product supplier (HP, HP partner or integrated 3rd party vendor) for enhancements and issues not resolved in -house. - Choose appropriate computing products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, problem management, capacity/performance management and operational management. - Build and/or configure HP systems and/or components by obtaining, developing, assembling, and integrating hardware and software components in order to deliver/deploy product or service. - Use technical and industry knowledge to choose an appropriate solution from a number of possible standards. - Document information such as configuration, install ation and user guides following process standards. Maintenance Operations Responsibilities may include: - Manage users, groups and projects. - Perform analysis on HP ALM/QC logs and use problem solving techniques. - Utilize SQL and VBScript programming t o build/maintain ALM dashboards. - Integrate HP ALM/QC with third party products. - Create user defined fields for ALM entities such as Requirements, Tests, and Defects. - Configure auto mail rules. - Perform HP ALM/QC Patches and Upgrades. - Generate Monthly Operational Reports. - Complete tickets on HP ALM/QC Administration, Customizations, Maintenance and Extract Reports. - Writing macros/scripts in ALM. - Deployment of hosts, software/services, patches and hotfixes, add -ins etc. - License management for the specific products. - Operational support (task and incident management in collaboration with customer's Service Desk). - Communication with HP software vendor. - Production and update of required documentation. - Workflow scripting for HP ALM. - Certificate management (in collaboration customer's Security). - User management for HP ALM. - Site monitoring and optimization. - Template management and rollout. Qualifications: - 8-10 years IT experience with demonstrated non -administrative IT capabilities similar to those listed above. - 8+ years HP ALM/QC experience. - Minimum of 8 years recent experience in functional testing. functional testing desired. - Demonstrated HP ALM/QC administration. - Hands-on Experience in creating the necessary processes to manage an Enterprise, multiple Line of business ALM/QC System. - Experience troubleshooting user issues and good Customer service techniques. - Experience designing and implementing the server architecture for HP ALM/QC. - Proven Expertise in Uploading/creating test scripts. Highly Desired: - Individuals having passed HP Advanced Application Lifecycle Management and UFT exams.
