PROWLER DUAL DSR Direction Sensing Moving Police Radar Operator’s Manual IMMERSIVE PLUGINS TEAM INTRODUCTION PROWLER DUAL DSR is a plugin developed for LSPDFR. It was heavily inspired by WolfKnight98’s excellent Wraith ARS 2X and is based on the real-world STALKER DUAL DSR. The goal was to create a realistic radar system that would mimic real-world police radar. DSR stands for Direction Sensing Radar which means the is capable of identifying the direction a target is traveling. It also has a Fast Speed mode which allows it to track both the strongest and the fastest targets traveling in either direction. There are four main modes of operation, three of which are stationary and one which is moving. See Operating The Prowler for more details on each mode. The PROWLER DUAL DSR also has keybinds for locking the speed of either the strongest or fastest target. INSTALLATION Drag and drop the contents of the RAR file you downloaded into your Grand Theft Auto V folder. CONFIGURATION You can set everything except keybinds using the in-game menu. The ProwlerRadar.ini file can be found in your plugins/LSPDFR folder. Some functions share the same key using a short vs long press. You may add a modifier key to any of the keybinds by appending Modifier to the name (e.g. PowerKeyModifier): Control Power+SettingsKey Description Normal: Turns the radar system on/off. Long: Opens the Settings menu. Xmit+AntennaKey Normal: Toggles the xmit on/off. Long: Toggles between front/rear antenna. MovSta+SameOppKey Normal: Changes the operation mode. Long: Toggles between same/opp lane mode. StrongLockKey Toggles the strong target lock. FastLockKey Toggles the fast target lock. AutoLockKey Toggles the auto lock. The display can be moved anywhere on the screen and scaled from 50-150% of the original size. The coordinates are based on a 1920x1080 canvas: Display PosX PosY Scale Description The x-coordinate (0-1920). The y-coordinate (0-1080). The size as a percentage (50-150). The radar has several settings: Radar BlipLock AutoLockLimit Range UseMetric Volume Voice HoldInterval Description Adds a blip to a target when locked. The speed at which the auto lock engages. The radar’s range in meters (100-300). Display speeds in kilometers per hour. Audio level. Set to zero to mute (0-5). Enables the voice audio for locks. Duration (in ms) to hold key for “long” press. OPERATING THE PROWLER Stationary Mode Select one of the three stationary modes by pressing the MovSta key either using the keybind or from the settings menu. Select either stationary closing (SC), stationary away (SA), or bi-directionary stationary (S_). Moving Mode When your vehicle moves, moving mode is automatically engaged. You can also select it manually using the MovSta key. While in moving mode, your patrol speed will be indicated in green on the right side of the display. Targets will be limited to those either traveling in the same or opposite direction as your vehicle. This setting is changed via the SameOpp key. Fast Mode Unlike the real STALKER, Fast Mode is always enabled on the PROWLER. The radar detects all vehicles within the range and appropriate angle. The strongest target will be the one closet to the radar system and displayed in orange on the left side of the display. When there is a faster target avaialble, even if it is not the strongest, it will be displayed in red in the center of the display. Locking There are three different keys for locking speeds. The StrongLock key will lock the strongest speed while the FastLock key will lock the fastest. Both keys will lock the speed into the center of the display and the LOCK indicator light will light up. If the FastLock key was used, the FAST indicator light will remain lit. There is also an AutoLock key which will toggle auto lock. If either the strong or fast target speed exceeds a threshold, the speed will automatically be locked.
