Incorrect load arm angle after the encoder has been calibrated and load arm was moved. Reason: - Mechanical problem Wiring problem Encoder internal problem created: Eberle / version 1.7 1 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders 1. Check the mechanical setup from the load arm (without winding shaft) / switch off the main power if you need to adjust this!!! This small gap should be only 1-2mm. The cylinder shaft is locked by a small screw from the bottom side This distance should be 70-72mm created: Eberle / version 1.7 2 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders Since July 2019 is also a modification set available, this can be used also at the 2nd unloading system. For each winder station you will need following parts 2x 97035618 2x 81004742 4x 480032 4x 406014 created: Eberle / version 1.7 3 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders Encoder calibration Make sure that you have carefully completed all the steps of the encoder calibration procedure. As a reference, this guide is added to the end of the manual. 2. Locate the encoder Remove the cover on the control panel side, and locate the encoder (1). created: Eberle / version 1.7 4 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders 3. Check the torque arm support As a result of a loose or broken torque arm the whole encoder moves with load arm movement. This leads to wrong angle measurements. 4. Check axis connection clamp As a result of a loose or broken axis connection clamp the axis slip over during load arm movement. This leads to wrong angle measurements. ! A broken axis connection clamp can be fixed or replaced with a slim hose band clamp. created: Eberle / version 1.7 5 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders Check also the proper connection from the center bolt. 5. Check plug Must be plugged in and secured. 6. Encoder calibration Calibrate the encoder. As a reference, this guide is added to the end of the manual. created: Eberle / version 1.7 6 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders 7. Function test o Open the Info page (1) on the winder PP65. o Press the screen in the marked area (2) to open the enhanced Info page. o Note the actual load arm values (in base position). o Move the load arm complete down and up in manual mode for 6-10 times. o Go back to the enhanced Info page and note the actual load arm values. 8. Result Compare the noted values before and after manual movement. Values are equal o The encoder and all mechanic / electric connections are ok. Values are unequal by 0,xx o The encoder and all mechanic / electric connections seem to be ok. In base position the load arm lay on rubber rings. This may lead to small deviations in the base position values. o Move the load arm again complete down and up in manual mode for 610 times then check/note the values on the enhanced Info page. o If the deviation increase there is a problem with the encoder. Values are significant unequal o The encoder seems to be broken. For an additional test you can swap the encoder between winder 1 and winder 2 (if 2 winders are available). created: Eberle / version 1.7 7 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders Encoder calibration instructions Take care that 6bar air pressure is on the winder and the winding drum is in max. front position Insert a 6” winding shaft into the load arm (or a winding shaft with a film roll which have got a diameter upper 140mm diameter) and bring the arm to the base position that the winding shaft or the film roll touch the winding drum roller. go to the touch screen of the winder and click the right arrow Click the Service button created: Eberle / version 1.7 8 Load arm / Encoder check Model: all Evolution winders Enter the password 9020 and after that (2) click the left service button Fill in the diameter from the winding shaft (or the film roll) which is in the load arm to teach the winder to this diameter Press the Button for encoder calibration Confirm the calibration created: Eberle / version 1.7 9
