WEEK – 3 (From Dt 19/12/22 to Dt23/12/22)
Objective of the Activity Done: To know about drone movements and ANSYS.
Detailed Report:
The week began with a recap of all drone movements including
pitch, roll, yaw and throttle. We also discussed about the complex drone motion like figure of
8, square, circle and the necessary inputs needed to be given for them. A discussion about the
motor specifications, thrust calculation, nimbleness of the drone. Differences between motion
of large drones and small drones. Large drones have a lot of inertia in their movements. So,
they cannot turn & charge direction in mid air .
Depending on the frame configuration, motor and propellers are
adjusted so that one clockwise and a counter-clockwise motor always oppose each other and
maintain balance. Next Ansys software is installed on our laptops.

WEEK – 4 (From Dt 26/12/22 to Dt 30/12/22)
Objective of the Activity Done: To design in ANSYS.
Detailed Report:
This week is totally focused on the ANSYS software basics,
software utilization. We received a PDF with all the designs which we then designed using
tools in the software. We learnt how to navigate through the user interface and create new
project space. Later we are given instructions on how to begin drawing a view of a 3D model.
I have designed up to 6 designs on that day using pull, rotary pull, chamfering, rounder, edge
extruding and other technique.
This week we also had the first student drone flying - session
we obeyed all the safety protocols for the drone flying. Later the instructor assembled the X
propellor blades onto the motors and armed the drone and given throttle to it, after the drone
began hovering. The drone is a 10-litre agricultural spraying drone on which I have made a
a square pattern in midair.

WEEK – 5 (From Dt 02/01/23 to Dt 06/01/23)
Objective of the Activity Done: To know about FC and design drone air frame.
Detailed Report:
The week started with an explanation about the Pixhawk flight
controller is used in our agricultural drone. A flight controller (FC) is a specialized board that
acts as the brain of the drone, controlling all the actions from battery management, movement,
data Tx, Rx monitoring maintaining system clock, monitoring GPS and internal. IMU signals
a chance to take a close look at the Pixhawk FC. It has various I/O parts, mostly for the
communication with peripherals and LED indications.
We later designed the Base plate of the Drone in Ansys
software after taking measurements from an existing model and then adjusted the value to our
requirements. The Base plate is designed perfectly with mounting holes drilled into it. Next,
we also designed the land gear joints which join the base plate to the landing gear rods. A
brief overview of Avionics is given on Friday in which un portly discussed the SPI, USART
communication protocols.

Detailed Report:
Flight Controller is the brain of a Drone. It controls all functions
in a drone from controlling motors to autonomously controlling the drone. We learnt about FC
specifically the Cube orange controller. We studied the Cube Orange’s documentation. We are
held a class about the internal architecture of the FC, about all the various communication
protocols used in the FC. We learnt about the various communication ports available on the
FC, and how the peripherals can be connected to an FC.
We also learnt about the Ardupilot drone software which is used
to configure the FC. We installed the software and connected the Cube orange + FC to the
computer and configured it and performed calibrations.

A radio transmitter is a device that uses a radio Communication
channel established between a radio receiver of suitable configuration and specification. We
observed a Frisky Radio Transmitter. It has two controller pins that are used to perform the
movements of drones. The controller has various toggle switches that have various functions.
The switches on top of the Tx are used to toggle channels, which can be configured to control
additional functionalities of the drone.
The Radio Tx has various potentiometers. The Potentiometer
just below the controller pins are used for fine tuning the drone movement controls. The
controller has two rocker switcher - one for powering on the controller and a bind switch to
bind the transmitter to a matching receiver.

WEEKLY REPORT
WEEK – 13 (From Dt 06/03/23 to Dt 07/03/23)
Objective of the Activity Done: Understanding ESC and BLDC motor.
Detailed Report:
An Electronic Speed Controller is an electronic circuit that is
specifically used to control brushless DC motors used to lift up the drone. But these motors
cannot be controlled directly from the FC. Hence, an ESC acts as the interface between the FC
and the motors, isolating them. And protecting FCs from the excess current drawn by motors.
And supporting motors by supplying 25 V- 50 V supply to the motors. The ESC has paver
MOSFET’s that switch accordingly to generate a required original one that control the motor
speed.
A Brushless DC motor is a motor that uses the magnetic
attraction and repulsion to rotate its rotor. They can be of two types, in runner or out runner.
Regardless, the stator has coils that get magnetized when current passes through them.

subject area of training (focus on digital technologies relevant to your job role)
During my internship a Drone, I observed various technological developments relevant
to Drone Application in real world. The key technological development which are past
of Drone are software/firmware certain set of Protocols Drone Application in vivid
Areas with the change: need and adaptability to it.
I Realized the benefits they bring to the society. Another technological factor that is
Embedded within the drone Architecture is about designing it.
klith the Modification within in the drone frame i.e., changing software and Flight
Controller (which is the brand drone) one could change its applications.
I learned how responsive design of its frame work and Architecture helped needs us to
create our drone itself According to individual needs.
Not only the software which is utilized in our Project but also, we learned about the
different software’s clearly and their working principle and also its applications.
I learned how to work with technologies in my internship and gained Knowledge, in
terms of their effective internship and usage and. to make Cost-effective drone that could
be utilized in Real World
Overall, my internship on Drone technologies exposed. me to Various technological
developments relevant to the Area of Application. The Knowledge what I gained
through this Internship, which will be useful as I continue to Pursue a career in drone
technologies and also to Ensure that my knowledge about drone Make me it to utilize
