BIODIVERSITY AND THE HEALTHY SOCIETY
ACTIVITY
1. Do you think the Earth can exist without human beings taking care
of it?
Yes, Earth will still exist because without human it will be still the same
it is in its nature we humans need the earth as habitat so without us
it’s just as it is and there are also other living things just like plants and
animals who are also part or nature of the earth. Sometimes we
humans are the also the reason why earth is being destroyed. We
humans produce lots of pollution, trashes everywhere at cutting of
tree. Some of us do not value the earth they just do whatever they
wanted without thinking the effect on Earth. Just like power plants
that destroys our ozone layer. We need earth to survive but maybe
earth doesn’t need us humans to survive because earth can live with
itself through the earth’s nature.
2. Does biodiversity need human beings for it to be in a continuous
growing process?
Biodiversity brings together the different species and forms of life just
like us humans, biodiversity needs us because we play an important
role just like any other living organisms. With us humans we can
contribute to the continuous growing process of our biodiversity.
3. What are the ways that you think would promote the safekeeping of
our biodiversity?
There are lot of ways to protect or safekeeping of our biodiversity just
like recycling and avoid to much usage of plastics that can cause
pollutions. Also don’t use too much gas or fuels that can cause of
destruction of our ozone layer. Also plant more trees and stop cutting
tress. There are lot of ways but we humans should be knowledgeable
with this kind of solutions and ways to protect our biodiversity.
4. What do you think are common human activities that can harm
biodiversity?
We humans have lots of activities and some of it affects our
biodiversity. Just like cutting of trees that cause also the loss of habitat
of some living organism. Also throwing of trashes everywhere. Power
plant also can harm our biodiversity it can cause to pollution and
destruction of our ozone layer that’s why in some part of the earth
experience too much heat because our ozone layer is being affected by
these kind of human activities.
5. What would be the consequences if these human activities will be
stopped and prohibited?
There will be lots of consequences some are not in favour of us humans
but in favour of our biodiversity. Power plant can cause to the
destruction of ozone layer so if it will be prohibited it will lessen the
production of gas that can destroy our ozone layer but some human
will also be affected, loss of jobs and maybe also to the decrease in
production of economy. Also cutting trees affects our biodiversity so
if it will be stopped it will be good for the nature but also will decrease
the production in economy because we need trees to produce lots of
product. But one solution cut trees but plant more trees. Our activities
have always an effect to our biodiversity. We all just need to make
control of it don’t abuse it because we humans will also be the one to
suffer from the consequences.
