“ADULT LEARNING DEVELOPMENT SKILLS”
JOSEPHINE A. TOLENTINO

The learning development of adults requires a standard that the teacher really
understand his/her students especially through the ways they grow and develop. This standard
expresses the importance of supporting students so they can meet higher standards. Teachers will
support students by having knowledge of all of the different areas of teaching and with a strong
curriculum that targets everyone. It is important to understand that every student is different and
therefore, will learn in their own ways. The teacher then learns to meet the needs of all students
specifically by creating learning experiences for all to comprehend. It is important it is to help
my students meet their personal learning goals through teachings. Differentiated instruction
would be helpful in a classroom in order for the teacher to meet the needs of students who have
differences when it comes to interests, readiness and learning needs. Every teacher One must
have variation in teaching. In other words, teachers must meet each individual student’s needs
and that each student would be able to master the subjects when teachers relied upon suitable
learning conditions with clear learning objectives.
In helping the students, a teacher must be organized and should use simple
English and instructions in each and all of the lesson plans. The teacher needs to take into
consideration the different backgrounds that the students have and how that may impact the
way they learn.
“The Importance of Face-to-Face Interaction”

Face-to-face is a meeting that you have with someone in which you talk to them
directly, not by phone, email, online, etc. This allows for a live interaction between a learner
and an instructor. Learners benefit from a greater level of interaction with their fellow
students as well. Face-to-face interaction is often more effective than written or audioonly conversations. This is because seeing one another allows us to pick up on nonverbal
cues and body language. And because a lot of interaction is nonverbal being able to see
each other helps us understand each other better. Good leaders know that face-to-face
interaction helps them connect with their staff.
Face-to-face interaction is much more suitable for students as not all students have
internet, phones and or computers, Wi-Fi, and such. In the face-to-face interaction you can
able to concentrate harder on your learning because there’ll be less distraction than if you
were at home. Face to face learning ensures a better understanding and recollection of lesson
content and gives class members a chance to bond with one another. Inside the classroom
there is one or more instructors and peers, who can hold a student accountable for their
course-work.
You may feel more comfortable and learn more easily in a familiar, traditional classroom
situation for online learning can cause social isolation,
Today, in the digital age, video conferencing technology allows us to get face
time with our colleagues even when we’re not physically in the same room as
them. Virtual meetings have become the norm since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted
the way we work. Even as companies return to their offices, many continue to use a
hybrid of in-person and remote working.
“The Importance of Continuous Professional Development for Teachers”

Continuing professional development (CPD) means that professionals participate in
learning activities to further improve the quality of their learning and develop their abilities and
to update their learning continuously. It enables them to set goals and work to achieve them, so
going above and beyond any initial training. "It’s the means by which you can maintain and
enhance your knowledge and skills to complement both your current role and your future career
progression" Continuous professional development is the processes and learning activities
professionals undertake to enhance their knowledge, skills, competence, and expertise. It
records what professionals learn, experience, and apply in their field.
It is important because it helps teachers to manage their own development on an
ongoing basis. It's not just a record of the training they have completed, but a whole lot
more. Ensures they keep pace with the current standards of others working in education,
keeps their knowledge and skills current so they can deliver high-quality teaching and impact
positively on pupil outcomes, and new skills and leads to increased confidence in themselves,
others, and the profession as a whole.
CPD allows educators to remain competent, effective, and innovative when it
comes to the skills and techniques they apply inside the classroom. The need for Continuing
Professional Development for teachers is not just for themselves but for their students as
well. Effective CPD for teachers has a direct relationship on their students’ learning
outcomes. Fresh graduate teachers who have undergone high-quality CPD courses have been
found to have similar student outcomes as compared with students taught by teachers who
have had ten years of teaching experience.
Continuing education for teachers has been proven to be more effective on student attainment
as compared to other interventions schools may offer, such as performance-related pay for
teachers.
“BUILDING ASSERTIVENESS AND SELF-CONFIDENCE”

Building self-confidence and assertiveness are probably a lot easier than you
think. 'Non-assertive' people (in other words 'normal people') do not generally want to
transform into excessively dominant people. When most people talk about wanting to be
more assertive, what they usually really mean is: Assertiveness and self-confidence are
comprised of important interpersonal communications skills and traits that can be learned and
practiced. For anyone seeking to increase their own assertiveness, it is helpful to understand
the typical personality and motivation of excessively dominant people, who incidentally
cause the most worry to non-assertive people. For people who are not naturally assertive, it is
possible to achieve a perfectly suitable level of assertiveness through certain simple methods
and techniques, rather than trying to adopt a generally more assertive personal style (which
could be counter-productive and stressful, because it would not be natural).
Self-confidence is usually known as self-assurance in a person’s power, ability, and
judgment. Mastering self-assurance activities can enhance a person’s confidence. Some people
confuse self-confidence with self-esteem. Self-confidence has a specific task of a person’s
ability or to challenge themselves. Self-confidence is the key to success. It is a different case for
people, some are naturally born with a strong self-assurance, other work hard for it, and others
have no idea on how to obtain a strong self-confidence. Luckily, trying to obtain a strong selfconfidence can be carried out over time.
“Increasing Your Happiness”
JOSEPHINE A. TOLENTINO

Happiness is defined by different people in different ways. Some find
happiness in having a luxurious life while some find it in having loving people around
them rather than money. True happiness lies within us and our expectation of
happiness. It is something that should be felt and cannot be explained in words.
Even though this simple word has a lot of meaning hidden in it, many fail to
understand the real one or feel the real happiness. Finding happiness in the outer
world is the main reason for this failure. Nothing can buy you happiness, whether be
the favorite thing you desire for or the person you love the most or the career you
build, unless and until you feel it within yourself.
Bring happiness and soulful life to yourself rather than expecting it from the outside
world like things, money, etc. Being happy is not as easy as advised to be one happier
person. To be content and happy with whatever you have and yourself it takes time
and patience. You should practice to be a happier person in all moments and
eventually you will notice that no sorrow can sink you down.
Happiness is nothing but a feeling that will be seeded into your soul only if you wish
to and nothing other than yourself can indulge this feeling in you. Don’t spoil your life
finding happiness somewhere else.
“DELIVERING CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM”

It is tough for anyone to criticism well. For some, criticism is a good thing while others
disagree. Criticism in itself is one of those words that looks like negative. Thus, it gives a feeling
of unwilling to accept or making a massive disagreement or being pessimistic. But to everyone’s
surprise, it is not the case. Criticism is often different than what people perceive. The essay on
criticism gives you an insight into the pros and cons of the criticism. Criticism is expressing the
disagreement for something or someone that is generally based on perceived faults, beliefs, and
mistakes. So, the main point here is whether to consider criticism as good or bad. Also, if we go
by the meaning of the word criticism then criticizing someone is bad. Also, simultaneously this
might lead to improving the person who is being criticized. So, he/she is becoming a better
person and does not repeat the mistakes is considered as providing criticism to be good. Thus,
this depends entirely on the perceived value that is hidden behind the criticism.
Constructive criticism will lead to locating the fault or mistakes that are made by the
people. So, the people can work upon it and thereby improve their activities so a heedful and
better life can be lived. Criticism calls for improvement on one plane and thereby avoiding the
issues unwanted on the other side.
There are many times that it can occur that the people that criticize are seen as the villain
of the society. Thus his/her image gets automatically shattered as well as abruptly changed. So,
doing criticism may lead adversely to the criticizer as well.
