- In the commercial, two people were interviewed about their teeth in which they said
that they moved to Colgate because it was what their dentist recommended. Along with
that, the dentist also confidently said that Colgate was the only toothpaste that can
protect your teeth for 12 hours. The fallacies used in the commercial were the fallacy of
Logos and Ethos. Logos because it didn’t provide enough proof to prove that it was
indeed the best. It also shows ethos because a supposed dentist or expert in this area
tries to persuade the viewers into using this product.
