THE MYSTERY OF THE HIDDEN HAUNTED HOUSE The old house stood on a hill, overlooking the town. It had been empty for years, and rumours went around it. Some people said it was haunted, while others claimed that it was a portal to another world. One day, a group of teenagers decided to explore the house. They had heard the rumours, but they didn't believe them. They thought it would be fun to spend a night in the old house and prove that it wasn't haunted. The teenagers broke into the house through a window. They made their way through the dark, dusty rooms, exploring every nook and cranny. They found old furniture, covered in sheets, and dusty portraits of people they didn't recognize. They came to a door at the end of a long hallway. The door was locked, but one of the teenagers had a lockpick. He opened the door, and they all stepped inside. The room was empty, except for a single chair in the centre of the room. The chair was facing a blank wall. The teenagers sat down in the chairs and waited. They didn't know what to expect, but they were all excited. After a few minutes, they heard a noise. It was a soft, scraping sound, coming from the wall behind the chair. The teenagers froze. They didn't know what to do.The scraping sound got louder. It sounded like something was trying to get out of the wall. The teenagers stood up and backed away from the chair. They were terrified. Suddenly, the wall cracked open. A creature emerged from the crack. It was tall and thin, with pale skin and black eyes. The teenagers screamed and ran. They ran out of the room, out of the house, and into the night. They never went back to the old house again. But sometimes, on a quiet night, you can still hear the scraping sound, coming from the room behind the locked door. - Adithya Pradeep, 7 GPS-I
