ControlLogix® 5580 Series controllers
Added support for the ControlLogix 5580 series of controllers.
Power-on self-test
Updated the power-on self-test fault check process.
iTRAK system can now run without the presence of the USB-IO power control device.
Added power-on self-test failure text.
Power-on self-test is now disabled during the section firmware update.
iTFlash build and version numbers
Changed the iTFlash build deliverable names to include the version and build numbers.
Position sensor temperature compensation

Table 1 - Enhancements with Revision 1.103 (continued)
Enhancement
Description
Specify number of movers
Added the ability to specify the total number of movers on a system of tracks.
iTFlash program reboot
Updated the iTFlash programs to reboot the gateway automatically after updating the firmware, and to display information
about the automatic reboot.
Hybrid track improvements
Increased the maximum number of available zones on a track from 2 to 8.
Improved the hybrid-track parking-lot to allow parked movers to reenter at any position.
Changed the assignment of mover numbers for movers reentering on a hybrid track to be based on the position of re-entry
Eliminate Gateway auto-restart
Eliminated the automatic restart of the gateway on initialization failure.
Improve section trending information
Improved the resolution and synchronization of trending information from the sections.
Read firmware version from Gateway
Added the ability to read versions of firmware in the motor control board from the Gateway.
Gateway log retrieval
Updated the Gateway Log Retrieval Tool.
Section firmware update management
Changed firmware management to download firmware automatically if the major revision, minor revision, or build number of
the section firmware on the iTFlash are different, either newer or older, than the currently loaded section firmware.
Section firmware change due to mover length is now one direct operation.
Firmware version readability
Added the ability for Logix to read the firmware major revision, minor revision, build number, and section type.
External force compensation
Added a feature where you create and download a force compensation table for the straight sections of the track.
Maximum mover torque percentage
Added the Maximum Mover Torque Percentage adjustment that lets you change the commanded torque/current from
0…125% of normal.
Velocity loop period adjustment
Added the Velocity Regulator Period adjustment that lets you change the standard period from 0…2000 ms in 250 ms
increments.
Per-section position error tolerance
Added the iTRAK_SecPosErrorTolerance controller tag that lets you set the position error tolerance for each of the sections on
the track individually.
Per-mover gain selection
Added a feature where you can create a separate set of gains for each of the movers on the system, gains for each mover
individually on one or more sections, or you can create separate gain sets to specify up to 16 movers at once.
Position Integrator and Integrator Hold Enable
Added a feature where you can specify an integrator value for the Position loop. Integrator Hold Enable lets you apply an
integrator hold on the position integrator.
Standstill window
Added the member CurveStandstillWindow to UDT_iTRAK_Data

Mover positions do not match previously saved
values, mover renumbering is required.
The gateway was not shut down properly or movers were moved when the
gateway was shut down. Before clearing this fault, the movers must be
renumbered.

4 iTRAK System, Firmware Revision 1.103
Corrected Anomalies
These corrections correspond to the iTRAK system firmware revision when
used with the Logix Designer application.
Table 6 - Corrected Anomalies with Revision 1.103
Correction
Description
Section variable trending
CORRECTED: Section variable trending feature does not work when sections contain a mixture of firmware versions.
Wrong number of mover faults
CORRECTED: Deadlock on wrong number of mover faults.
Infinite restart
CORRECTED: Infinite restart anomaly when downgrading firmware using iTFlash to version 1.100 from 1.101 or greater.
Infinite loop period overrun
CORRECTED: Position loop period keeps overrunning indefinitely after the first occurrence of an overrun.
DcBusContactor incorrect behavior
CORRECTED: The DCBusContactor does not behave correctly.
Wrong number of movers saved
CORRECTED: Regression: iTRAK with wrong number of movers saved in file no longer corrects.
(Lgx00176661).
I2T data loss
CORRECTED: I2T fault information is not retained when the track is power cycled.
Host Key setting
CORRECTED: iTFlash doesn't allow the user to set a Host Key when needed.
Section version loss
CORRECTED: Section version information is unavailable after a restart of the gateway.
Flash card corruption
CORRECTED: Flash cards can get corrupted by power cycling.
Less-accurate position reporting
CORRECTED: Erroneous spikes in straight section calibration information cause less-accurate position reporting.
Gain values per section
CORRECTED: Position loop per-section gains use the last-specified value for all sections, instead of different values per
section.
Table 7 - Corrected Anomalies with Revision 1.099
Correction
Description
Application performance
CORRECTED: Application performance with 1.098 could be less than with previous releases.
Table 8 - Corrected Anomalies with Revision 1.098
Correction
Description
Control disturbances
CORRECTED: Disturbances in position control can appear near ends of curve sections.
iTFlash false report
CORRECTED: iTFlash tool often reports success, but actually fails.
Loading of wrong firmware
CORRECTED: Incorrect firmware could get loaded on a curve section when mover size is changed from 150 mm to
