Ego State Theory is a psychological concept that
explores our personality structure and how it
influences our behavior, thoughts, and feelings.

CHILD EGO STATE
Foundation of how children interact with their close
surrounding.
An impulsive and desires to receive happiness and
comfort. This ego state formed on how parents and
adults act around them.
There are 3 types of children interaction which are
Natural Child, Rebellious Child, and Adaptive Child.
Emphasize on the saying of “I, What I want, What I
need.”

ADULT EGO STATE
Rational and logic
Always thinking and asking the question: “why?”
From past experiences
Having the ability to integrate the 3 level of ego
state with the reality.

PARENT EGO STATE
Started from the moment we are born (reflect
the parenting style of the parents) - varies from
critical parents & nurturing parents,
Called as super-ego,which leans to a basic
concious level on choosing whether an action is
right or wrong.
Everyone should be able to choose how they
behave, so they can adapt to the society

BENEFIT
It provides insights into how our past experiences
affect our present behavior and emotions,
leading to personal growth and improved
communication.
Helps put each individual's ego in the
organization when faced with a problem or
project.

CONCLUSIONS
Ego develops from the moment they are born until they
become an adult and finally carried out into their parenting
behaviour.
Ego State Theory is a valuable tool for self-awareness and
enhancing relationships by understanding and managing
the different parts of our personality.
