The team name The FAB is a combination of our surnames; F stands for Francia, A stands for Ambonan and B stands for Bautista. Our team’s name was created since the game development journey. Pandemic really affected our daily living especially when it comes to being cautious around us and the people we interact with. We are aiming to build a project that is beneficial to our community. That’s why we came up with a website that will help people in buying essentials without exposing their selves outside. Our project aims to help people become safe against the virus not just because it is an online store which prevents people from going outside but also because our products are important for our day to day living in dealing with the pandemic. 04 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM 1. Limited stocks physical store available in the One problem that customers encounter when buying in a physical store is that there is a limited number of stocks for a certain goods, especially those in a smaller store. Customers had to go to other stores just to check whether that certain product they are looking for is available. 2. Transmission of virus, and contact with other people Due to the pandemic, going outside may increase the possibilities of contracting the Covid19 virus. Even going to buy for essential goods and necessities is not safe anymore due to the fact that we do not know where the virus is and whether the person we interact with is a carrier of the virus or not. 3. Experiences long queue when buying in a physical store During and even pre-pandemic, customers are experiencing long queues when going in a store or any establishments. The difference is that the queue during the pandemic has become longer because there is a maximum number of customer allowed inside. Sometimes, waiting in line is much longer than the time they spent buying. 4. Essential products have become one of the top-most priorities When the pandemic started, the need for alcohol, facemasks, face shield, and PPE suits increased. It is because these products contributed a lot to the safety of everyone, and also in minimizing the transmission of the COVID-19 Virus. 05 PROPOSED SOLUTION Taking into consideration all the problems stated above, our group has come up with an online store named ESSENTIALS CO. It is a website where people can browse essential goods, then they can order them online and just wait for them, to be delivered. Such essential goods are facemasks and face shields, alcohol and sanitizer, first aid kit, PPE suits, and toilet papers. It caters to people of different ages, gender, and social class. With the use of this online store, customers are able to acquire products that they can use every day to protect themselves from the virus. Aside from that, the customers can buy huge quantities without fear of running out of stocks because the goods will be delivered directly from the supplier. Customers will no longer worry about having contact with other people outside because all they have to do is browse, add to cart, check out the items, wait for them to be delivered, and then pay for the items. Aside from that, customers will no longer experience long queues just to buy goods. They can do other things while choosing the items they want to buy and just check it out afterward. With that, the customers can take their time, ensuring that all they need to buy has been checked out. This online store provides convenience to every customer where they no longer have to go in a physical store and experience a long queue. It could be of great help to customers who are busy with their work and have no time to buy outside. It saves time and is always stocked for every customer's needs.
