February 15, 2023 President Adela de la Torre San Diego State University 5500 Campanile Drive San Diego, CA 92182 Dear President Adela de la Torre, My name is Jaewon Shin, currently a sophomore at SDSU. I am writing this letter to you in regards to a change towards the desire for an increase in parking. I am happy with all the services that SDSU is providing to students. Providing good resources for students, supporting students who are struggling from finance or academics, etc. However, parking at SDSU is giving students a really hard time. Many students have been attending class late and have been missing the opportunity to be in class due to low parking spots. Many students find themselves spending a long time finding a spot instead of going to their classes. It would be beneficial to students if they expand parking structures. By doing so students have the ability to get to class on time and pick parking spots that are a good location for them. I acknowledge that this might be a financial burden for SDSU, however this is necessary for students' satisfaction and success in achieving their academic goals. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Sincerely, Shin Jaewon Shin - Making resources more easily available to students Lack of support for students who are struggling with academics Increases in the price of housing due to more students being required to live on campus More parking lots or parking fees 1.
