FIRE SAFETY PLAN
Policy:
Seasons Retirement Communities will maintain a current Fire Safety Plan stamped as approved by their local fire
department and will ensure staff and residents are orientated to the plan annually.
Procedure:
1. An annual review of the Fire Safety Plan is required and all changes will be requested by the home and
amended and approved by corporate services.
2. Fire drills are to be conducted monthly.
a. Day and evening shifts require a minimum 3 drills each per year.
b. Night shift is required to have 6 drills per year.
3. Signatures of staff in attendance MUST be captured.
4. Management is required to provide orientation and education on all life safety and emergency procedures
upon hire and annually thereafter.
5. All staff are to review and become familiar with the Fire Safety Plan upon hire and annually thereafter.
