INTRODUCTION
This document is an addendum to the Piping Design Report for the additional spool piece on. It addresses the
design of the additional custom flanges. The pressure calculations of the reducer are covered by the original
design. This report is for internal design approval process only and shall be archived in the server.
DESIGN NOTES AND ASSUMPTIONS
The following notes and assumptions are applicable to the design of the piping systems:

BASIS OF DESIGN
The flanges are not considered as standard listed components and have therefore been evaluated in
accordance with ASME BPVC, Section VIII, Div. 1, Appendix 2. See Appendix A & B for more detail.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION
All the detail calculations as found in the various appendices indicate that the piping systems comply with the
requirements as ASME B31.3, 2020.
The piping systems as designed can therefore safely be operated at their design and operating conditions as
indicated on the isometric drawings.
