Consciousness Response This film gave an insight of what is going on in other people's lives. It was deep and it connected to it's viewers very well. This film relates to the Perennial Philosophy in multiple ways. One of the points is spirit is found within. Spirit is everywhere and everyone is one. All human share the same attributes such as blood and bones. At one point in the movie, the narrator says he is going to look at everyone's face as himself. This leads to the point that spirit exists. Spirit is found everywhere and this point in seen throughout the film. Also, there is a dangerous country previewed where bombs and shootings occur frequently. The people experiencing this, it brings down their ego and it makes them let go because they are suffering. This leads them into practicing religion as a form of hope. They are trying to find liberation from their state of suffering. Identity and compassion play a role as a theme in the film. There is a man who helps gas victims for free in the medical centre. There is also a man who goes out that undoes bombs. This is a dangerous task but he does it because he does not want anyone else to get hurt. He is risking his life for others. These are forms of compassion because he is performing a good deed for others in order to help them but he does not expect anything in return. Also, after the incident of 9/11, many people were left in a state of suffering. We see people that come together as a community to worship those that they have lost. The compassion reveals one's identity because it shows who someone really is. We are all connected as one.
