Safety Regulations
• Prescription Safety Glasses
• Must be CSA approved
• Must have permanent side shields
OR
• Approved Safety Glasses must be worn over top

• CSA approved safety glasses must be worn
at all times in a lab, even when using face
shields
• ONLY clear lenses are allowed inside or
outside

• ALL Labs:
• No steel frames allowed on Safety or Prescription Glasses

• Double eye protection
must be worn when using
abrasive or cutting
equipment

• Welding helmet must
remain in the down
position during all welding
and chipping operations.

• Welding jackets or similar must
be worn when welding out of
position
• Cotton Coveralls must be worn
when using a Torch to cut

• Students must be trained in the safe and efficient operation
of equipment prior to use
• Proof of training is required
