A very basic calc on the Tramonto slide - it measures ~180,000 SF on Zimas. With a median
depth of 30’-40’, which is typical for our area, this will result in approximately 250,000 CY of
earth mass, weighing roughly that much in tonnes. Even with the approximation, this is no joke.
If improperly disturbed, a massive landslide could be triggered with perilous consequences.
Proposals to build several homes under these conditions cannot and should not be a subject to
a MND only. If building on top of 250K of moving earth does not warrant a full EIR, one should
seriously question the reliability of the City institutions, licensing such.
