TECHNICAL REPORT
Power report; Installation of
batteries at Lungi and
replacement of solar panel at
Kambia.
PURPOSE
Telecommunication network devices must be provided with stable power supply to
ensure quality of service and adhere to service level agreements between the
clients and network carriers or service providers.
However, the Leonecom site at Lungi has been faced with enormous power
challenges concerning uninterruptible power supply when there is a power outage
on the primary source and backup generator.
Therefore, the Leonecom management contracted Real power to install 4 X
12V200AH/20HR batteries at the Lungi site and retrieve the 24 batteries from
Lungi, and install them at Kambia. This task was conducted by Real power and
supervised by the Leonecom power team, observations and constraints were
observed and captured in this report

RISKS & HIGHLIGHTS
● Gravitational flow has been established for the external tank at Masiaka. To
minimize the supply of fuel, plumbing work must be carried out to reduce the
frequent supply of fuel.
● It was observed that the extractor fans at Rogbere are not working, therefore, a
standing fan would be required to reduce the high temperature dissipated in the
equipment room.
● At Kambia it was observed that grasses are growing on top of the solar panels.
