First Evaluation
Objective:
Design of a Solar Power Plant of capacity 10MW
Advantages
• Renewable Energy Source
• Diverse Applications
• Low Maintenance Costs
Major Disadvantage
• Uses a Lot of Space
• High Initial cost
Methodology:
• Take a solar panel designed for fix rated power output.
• Assume the efficiency of battery and invertor and also the number of
batteries required for the given power output.
• We assume the solar panel angle to get maximum power output.
• After assuming the efficiency and angle, we will determine the power output
from single panel.
Continued…….
• We determine the number of solar panel required for 10MW power output.
• To determine the land area required, first we will determine the area covered
by the single plate. And then calculate the area required by all panels.
• After this we will add the area required by other equipments like batteries
and invertor wires etc and determine the area required in whole power plant.
Work plan:
Task 1-Study About the solar power plant
Task 2-Needed Equipment and their Specifications
Task 3-Theory based Assumption
Task 4-Required Equipment in numbers(Using Calculation)
Task 5-Calculate the area required for design
