1.) Alex sold his used lawn tractor and accessories for $210. If he
received twice as much money for the lawn tractor as he did for the
accessories, find how much money he received for the lawn tractor.
2.) At the zoo, there were 3 times as many monkeys as lions. Tom
counted a total of 24 monkeys and lions. How many monkeys were
there?
3.) There are half as many girls as boys in the school. If there are a total
of 162 students in the school. How many boys are there?
4.) Carl has 3 times as many stamps as Tim. Together they have 2400
stamps. How many stamps does Tim have?
5.) Maria has 4 times as many necklaces as shelia. Together, they have 25
necklaces. How many necklaces does maria have?
6.) Joe has some baseball cards, and his brother has one-third as many as
Joe. Joe has thirty-six more than his brother. How many does Joe
have?
