History
In 1843, Mauna Lao has erupted 33
times, one eruption happened every
5 years in average. But most
eruptions occurred prior to 1950,
eruption happened 3.5 years in
average. There have only been 2
eruptions in 1950. In 1975, a
summit eruption 25 years and by a
rift eruption 9 years later in 1984.

It extends 4174.84 meters above
sea level and about 944 meters
below sea level, it is 48 Km wide
