Kuala Lumpur, Sept 25, 2016: Some 3000 people turned up for the Malaysia International Gastronomy Festival (MIGF) preview to sample some of the food specially prepared by 25 of Malaysia’s best restaurants. MIGF spokesman, Michael Kuscher said response for the event this year has been overwhelming and was the best they had since the festival started some 15 years ago. Last year 22 restaurants participated in the month long event which was held in July at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur. The festival first was held in August 2001 at Sunway Pyramid where 11 restaurants took part. Apart from sampling the delicious food served during the preview, visitors were also given the opportunity to get valuable cooking tips when they participated in the Master Chef’s cooking classes and informative workshops. Furthermore, this year some of the best restaurants will be taking part in the festival. The preview event was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel. Michael Kuscher pointed out that when MIGF begins next month which will last from 1st to 31st October, special festival menus will be available at each of the participating restaurants. These menus will be available at special festival prices to make it attractive for food lovers to sample the delicious food. It is advisable to make your reservations early to avoid disappointment. Among the participating restaurants this year are Sampling on the Fourteenth, Marini’s on 57, Southern Rock Seafood Restaurant as well as some of Genting Highland’s famous outlets, The Olive and L’titude Restaurant.
