You will be divided into 3 groups. 2. Each group will be assigned with one picture to analyze. 3. Assign a reporter to explain the picture of choice. “Please report your output to the class. Let us start from group 1 and so on.” ANALYSIS ABSTRACTION “ Do you see the significance of our activity? Why? “Was it difficult or easy? Impact on the community Impact on the consumer A new business, especially one that is innovative and focused on bringing some new product or service to the market, is always welcome to the consumer who is looking value for his money. Impact on suppliers and investors A new business will also provide opportunities for suppliers and investors. Demand for the goods provided by the suppliers will increase. More investors get to earn returns on their investments. Impact on the government The government will also benefit from the establishment of new businesses, through revenues earned on fees collected from them and on taxes imposed on the income of the businesses. Those who have jobs are earning low-wages may find better paying jobs with the new companies. APPLICATION Impact on the community Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a growing trend among businesses today. This program includes scholarships to poor but deserving students, allocating budget for housing for low-income families, environmental protection and sports-related programs. Activity D. Slogan making! Situation: Mocha Inc. is a newly established company owned and managed by a group of 6 female friends. They have decided to put up a beauty care business line called “Beauty and beyond”. The business has been earning revenues for the past 3 years of operation, but recently, they received a complaint from the Barangay Captain that their company doesn’t care about their surrounding community. They might face a huge predicament in the future. The President approached you to help them to come up with an Advocacy Program through a slogan that would help them in their Corporate Social Responsibility. ( CSR ) Instructions: 1. With the same groupings, come up with recommendations and strategies that would maximize the positive impact of the business on a the community. 2. Come up with recommendations and strategies that would minimize the negative impact of the business on the community, if there’s any. 3. These recommendations and strategies must be in a form of the company’s Advocacy Campaign. 4. Write your slogan on the cartolina provided for you. Color your slogan and make it attractive. Your output will be scored based on the following criteria: 1. Relevance = 15points 2. Creativity = 10 points 3. Concurrence = 5 points Total 30 points. They continually improve their products and services to give us the value of our hard-earned money. But just like us, ordinary consumers, businesses also have social responsibility. They are not focused solely on earning profits but also on the welfare of their consumers as well.
