IoT-Based Work Monitoring: The Future of Productivity Authors: T S Pradeep Kumar, Abhishek RA, Renuka Devi RajaGopal, Kumar Rangasamy, Abstract: With the rise of remote work, many employers and parents have recognized the need for monitoring systems at home to keep track of the productivity and performance of their remote employees and children, respectively. These systems are designed to provide a means to increase productivity and accountability and thus have become increasingly important in the modern workplace and educational setting. This Chapter proposes a smart desk system that leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to monitor work habits, track productivity, and provide data to users. The proposed system incorporates a combination of IoT devices, sensors, and software to collect data on work habits, and provides real-time feedback to users to help them optimize their work habits. The effectiveness of the system is evaluated through an experimental evaluation. The evaluation results demonstrate that the system can improve productivity and work habits, making it a valuable tool for individuals and organizations. This contributes to the growing body of research on remote work by proposing an innovative smart desk system that leverages IoT technology to improve productivity and work habits. The system has the potential to provide valuable insights into work habits, increase productivity, and help individuals and organizations optimize their work routines.
