of the question.
Notes:
1. Read the topic carefully, understand it , then decide your opinion ( agree/disagree)

Introduction paragraph ( ‫)المقدمة‬
It consists of 2-3 sentences.
➢ Sentence 1 : Paraphrase the question statement
. ‫إعادة صياغة عبارة السؤال و ذلك من خالل محاولة استبدال بعض الكلمات بمرادفات لها‬
Examples:
Original: Paraphrasing is one of the most important skills to learn before doing your IELTS
test.
Paraphrased: Before taking the IELTS test, mastering paraphrasing is one of the
most crucial things to do.
As you can see, the second sentence (paraphrased sentence) uses synonyms to change
some vocabulary (e.g., ‘important’ for ‘crucial’ and ‘’prior’’ to ‘before’ and
changes the grammar (e.g., Paraphrasing is one of the most important skills” for
“mastering paraphrasing”). You can also change the word order.
We can start with phrases like:
✓ It is argued / believed / thought by some people that………………
✓ Some people argue or believe that………………………………….. .
Example:
Some people think foreign visitors should should be charged more than local
people when they visit the cultural and historical attractions in a country.
Do you agree or not? Give your reasons
It is believed by some that tickets prices for cultural and historical sites should
be more for international tourists than local tourists.

How to write a body paragraph?
• A topic sentence ( your main reason)
• Supporting sentence(s): explanation
• Examples.
Example
Using screens for long hours causes healthy problems. Watching mobile screens
for a long time affects eyes and causes redness. They also hurt the eyes’ sight
power because of the rays released by them. Moreover, watching mobiles affect
hands and necks.

Writing 2: Narrative
Notes:
➢ Use Past Tenses in narrating the events.
( Past simple , Past continuous , Past perfect )
Use adverbs that show time sequence
( next , later , then , after that , Finally , before, At the end, while , when ,
suddenly, as soon as , …………..)
Use Direct Speech if possible
Start with give details about the settengs.
( people, place , time , weather , )
Use a variety of adjectives to describe feelings
( happy , sad, excited , frightened , bored , ……)
