"Hi everyone! Thank you so much for coming! We are SO excited about today, aren't we boys and girls??!!! Today is a very special day. Do you know what today is? Today is graduation day, and today we get to celebrate all the good times in you had in Miss Lisa’s preschool! What was the best days you ever had in school? It's hard for many of you to believe that the time has come for our children.... our babies, to say goodbye to preschool isn't it? I will never forget the first time I came here, after visiting almost all the preschool’s/Daycare centres in Chaguanas, from the moment I entered that gate, I knew this was the perfect fit for Sage. I was warmly welcomed by Miss Lisa and Grandma, perfect strangers, and even though the place was still being renovated ,I never felt so comfortable with anyone else outside of my family. It was the best decision I have ever made, and I am sure it’s your’s as well. At Sharay’s Little sunshine, the kids are not treated as students, they are treated as though they were family members. And I am happy that we are part of this family. Today our kids are celebrating their first mementous milestone and its time for us to recognize to recognize the outstanding work of the teachers, Miss Lisa, Miss Michelle and Miss Adianna and the strong support system of grandma Miss Omatee ( especially for those delicious home cooked meals prepared with love that children can’t get enough off because apparently the food we send doesn’t taste as good as hers) and even Narasuraya who is a child more mature than her age and treats all these kids as her younger brothers or sisters. These are the little things we would always be grateful for and kindness we would remember for the rest of our lives. Just looking around, and seeing the happy smiling faces says so much about the environment here at Sharay’s little sunshine Daycare and preschool. Our children have learned so much, celebrated all occasions, from birthdays to Divali and even Christmas in July. The school places great value on community, culture, Family, learning and just having fun. I am proud of the way the children love coming here to school and look forward to what they learn and experience. Seeing the big smiles on their faces will warm any parent’s heart. They have learned to love learning and that skill will help them so much as they progress with their education. Looking ahead, our children are very well-equipped to take on the next part of their educational lives. Sharay’s Little Sunshine has set a strong foundation and I feel very confident that we have given the children a great start in life. They have learned many priceless lessons. Speaking of lessons.. let, me put on my teacher hat now..being a teacher, I have seen children struggle, and they struggle because we as parents may have taken for granted things we must do: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Show Love and Affection Praise Your Child Listen to Your Child Spend Quality Time With your Child Appreciate Milestone 6. Be Happy for What Your Child Has Achieved-Parents often compare their child with others which has negative impact on the mental development of the child. 7. Appreciate Your Child’s Efforts-You should not push your child to get high grades in examsHelp your child by being an involved parent so that he or she can do better. 8. Reward Your Child 9. Let Your Child Learn from Experiences-Do not always direct your children. Allow them to live with consequences for the choices they make. But always provide guidance from time to time. We are all important to each and every one of these children. And now, I am sure the children are very excited to get this party started, right?, and I feel some of the parents to.. so let's hand over the program to the children!" Invite them to sing If you happy and you know it .. clap your hands, stamp your feet, happy dance, hooray. Congratulations graduands class of 2023.
