How did the organization begin?
- The SK Organization was founded
on 1975.
What is its mission?
- Its mission was to give youth a
chance to be involved in
community affairs and to provide
the government means to inform
youth of the government's
development efforts.
How is it funded?
The Sangguniang Kabataan was funded
by the Barangay, 10% of Barangay fund
is shared to the SK Council annualy.

How many people (employees and
volunteers) work for the
organization, and what type of
education/training do they have?
There are 10 persons in the SK
Council. The SK Chairman, 7 SK
Kagawads, 1 SK Secretary and 1
SK Treasurer. The SK is composed
of youth aged 15-30 years old.
Their function is to actively
participate and give support to such
activities of the Barangay and SK
Council.
What types of programs/services
does the organization provide?
The organization has different centers of
participation. A. Health B. Education C. Social
Inclusion and Equity D. Environment E. Good
Governance F. Economic Empowerment G. Peace
Building & Security H. Active Citizenship It provides
specific activities and programs such as
trainings/seminars, sports fests for the benifit of the
youth.
