It is adamant that our representatives operate responsibly to produce a safe online environment. Transparent representation through social media is vital and we hold such people accountable. Expectations and Guidelines for Social Media Representative Pursuing social media presents us with the opportunity and task of representing the company. Through Social Media, our goal is to provide the public with information on Apple’s major ventures and objectives. The following guidelines will navigate the way in which our Social Media Representative should represent the Company in a respectable capacity. ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Honor: You must identify yourself as an associate of Apple in all posts that concern Apple, as well as be truthful in all activities. Defamation: The insulting of competitor companies will not be tolerated. Although healthy competition is encouraged, vile insults and posts that create negative responses are not allowed. Plagiarism: DO NOT claim ownership of something that does not belong to you. When referring to another party’s content, make certain that they are credited for it. Hateful Activity: Instances of hateful activity towards different communities (anti-LGBTQ+, antisemitism, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant hate, racism etc.) is strictly prohibited. Permanence: The internet is forever. Once posted on the internet, it cannot be taken down or unpublished. Keep this in mind as you post. Protection: If you are unsure about a subject, do not post. Be positive that your posts are completely accurate and that they do not enclose confidential information. World View: Statements may be accurate in specific parts of the world but inaccurate or illegal in others. Be aware of the rules and regulations of all participating Apple countries, noted within those countries guidelines.
