+LOTF Chapter review Chapter 1: The boys are stranded on a deserted island they gather using a conch shell. Ralph is chosen as the leader and they decide to build a fire. Chapter 2: The boys start a fire but it spreads out of control. A boy goes missing and rules and order become important. Chapter 3: The boys build shelters but most prioritize hunting and playing over survival. Chapter 4: Jack and his hunters become savage-like and Simon finds a secluded spot in the jungle. Chapter 5: Fear of a beast grows, and they explore a mountain but find a dead pilot. A storm extinguishes the signal fire. (They still think the dead pilot is a beast as they run when they see it) Chapter 6: A parachutist lands on the island causing panic. Jack forms his own tribe and Simon discovers the truth about the beast. Chapter 7: Simon finds the dead parachutist and Jack's tribe steals Piggy's glasses. They mistake Simon for the beast and kill him. Chapter 8: Ralph and Piggy mourn Simon's death. Ralph insists on maintaining the signal fire while Jack's tribe hunts. Chapter 9: The boys are divided into two groups. Ralph, Piggy, and a few others focus on survival and rescue. Jack's tribe embraces savagery. Ralph confronts Jack, but Piggy is killed, and the conch shell is destroyed. Ralph escapes, alone and hunted. Chapter 10: Ralph hides in fear and mourns Piggy's death. He asks Jack for Piggy's glasses but is refused. Ralph realizes his survival is in jeopardy. Chapter 11: Jack's tribe becomes more violent. They capture Sam and Eric and force them to join. Ralph discovers their hideout and confronts Jack. Chaos erupts as Ralph is pursued. Chapter 12: Ralph is hunted by Jack and his followers. The island is set on fire. Ralph encounters a naval officer, ending the pursuit. Ralph weeps for dead people.
