Two 220V dc generator each having linear characteristics that operates in parallel. One machine has a
terminal voltage of 270V on NL and 220V on a load current of 35A. While the other machine has a voltage
of 280V @ NL and 230V @ 50A. Calculate output current of each machine and the bus bar voltage when
the load is 60A. What is the kW output of each machine under this condition?
Two shunt generators operating in parallel delivers a total current of 250A. One of the generators is rated
50kW and the other is 100kW. The voltage rating of both machine is 500V and have regulation of 6% and
4% respectively. Assuming linear characteristic, determine:
a. Current delivered by each machine
b. Terminal voltage
Two shunt generator each with an armature resistance of 0.02 ohms and 0.03 ohms respectively. Their
field resistances are equal to 30 ohms and 40 ohms. The emf of each machine are 230V and 210V
respectively. Calculate the bus bar voltage and output of each machine. The total output of the generator
running in parallel is 5000A.
A lap wound 4 pole DC generator with 480 armature conductor supplies of a current 144. The brushes are
given an actual load of 10 degrees. Calculate the demagnetizing and cross magnetism
