PRODUCT DATA SHEET Y011 ARDROX 1820 Airdom detergent sanitizer SCOPE Ardrox 1820 is a highly effective concentrated liquid detergent sanitizer and deodorant which can be used on a variety of surfaces including glass, plastic and metal. Its applications include toilet tank soak cleaning and sanitizing of cabin and galley equipment in aircraft. Ardrox 1820 can be used at dilutions of up to 60 parts with water. Ardrox 1820 contains a powerful detergent system which rapidly emulsifies grease and general soils. It also contains a powerful bactericide and an efficient deodorising fragrance which ensures that the highest standards of hygiene and a pleasant smell are achieved when using Ardrox 1820. Ardrox 1820 has been shown to be effective against E Coli and S Aureus. CHEMICALS REQUIRED ARDROX 1820 METHOD OF USE For soak cleaning or aircraft toilet tanks, to ensure that residual bacteria are destroyed Ardrox 1820 should be diluted with 30 parts of water. The toilet tank, after drain off, should be filled to capacity with Ardrox 1820 and for optimum results left overnight. Finally, the tank should be drained and rinsed with fresh water. The tank is now ready for re-charging with toilet sanitizer. For sanitizing and cleaning of passenger oxygen masks Ardrox 1820 is diluted with 30 parts of warm water. The oxygen masks are cleaned by wiping with a cloth dampened with the diluted Ardrox 1820. No final rinsing with water is required. For general cleaning and for sanitizing galley equipment Ardrox 1820 is diluted with between 30 – 60 parts of warm water depending upon the degree of soiling. Surfaces do not normally require to be rinsed after cleaning with Ardrox 1820. EFFECTS ON MATERIALS: Ardrox 1820 in both diluted and concentrated form conforms to the requirements of noncorrosivity to metals and compatibility with non-metallic materials of AMS 1452 with the exception of the concentrate form on polycarbonates and polysulphone plastics. In this case it meets the requirements of the specification at an applied stress of 2000 psi for 12 hours.
