The teacher displays artwork of various characters that they have utilised. Teacher laptopAdobe Animate 2023. Today we will be picking a character from a movie or show that we like (school appropriate) OR creating our own characters. Character poses. When characters are drawn or painted, they do not have a static pose. Their arms and bodies move and change positions as well. If we look at the way video game art creators used to do it they created things called sprite sheets. A sprite is each minor or major change in an animation. If we look at the below example we can see that our character starts with his head forward. The next step is his coat moving towards his back as he stands upright. Both of his legs are now outstretched which signifies the character walking. If we break down each of the steps and changes within this simple rotation animation it would look like this. Our task today will be making at least 2 more poses for our characters. We will need these poses to create more interesting animations.
