What improved version of yourself as a teacher has the Lunduyan sa Kahusayan Program yielded? As a Lunduyan sa Kahusayan Program recipient, I've evolved into a glocal, flexible teacher who recognizes the importance of negotiation and engagement between learners and teachers in achieving purpose, participation, and progression of learning activities, regardless of learning modality or methodology. This program also strengthened my profession as a teacher by teaching me to always think of methods to promote safety, security, and inclusion by empowering students and to practice contextualization and localization of learning experiences as much as feasible. This teacher training program has also enhanced my understanding to how providing and receiving feedback may help us learn, grow, and change for the better, both professionally and personally. Teachers, as transformational leaders and catalyst of change, play an important role in community development, thus we must constantly be enthusiastic, respectful, engaged, and cooperative with community members. As the saying goes, it takes a community to educate a child and we teachers have the power to change that community to make it more conducive, responsible, and involved in developing lifelong, creative, critical, and resilient learners. It's just a matter of involving and engaging our stakeholders in order to strengthen school-community collaboration to achieve school and community goals. During the last course, it was also highlighted how vital it is to consider the teacher's well-being and wellness because it will also tremendously benefit our students' well-being and wellness. The PERMA + Model teaches me how to keep a good attitude and transform the F4 (fear, frailty, frustration, and failure) into opportunities and strengths. Overall, I feel grateful and proud to be part of this training program, which has competent, flexible, and professional facilitators and patient and amazing classmates. I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with my coworkers and encouraging others to participate also in this once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity. Prepared and Submitted by: CARLO A.
