4. PAN is a computer network mainly created for an individual person it is used for
communication devices such as laptops,mobile phones and smart phones. PAN can be wired
or wireless it generally covers about 30 feet.
5. Client server network is a network where sevral cimputers called clients and workstation are
connected to a main computer called the server.
6. Peer to peer- Is a network where a few computers having equal capacity capabilities are
connected together to use the resources available on the network.
7. Point to point topology is where two network structers are connected to each other
8. Bus topology use 1 main cable where all are connected it transfers data in only 1 direction.
There is 1 main computer who sends data to all clients. 1 disadvantage if the main fails all
will stop working.
9. Ring topology- all are connected in circular manner it uses lan and wan both if one
workstation goes down all go down.
10. Tree topology- they are in star form 1 star is connected to other star network if the central
computer goes down the entire workstation goes down
11. Mash topology- each node is connected to every node in the network, every node not only
sends its own signal but also relays data from the other nodes. This type of topology can
handle a large volume of traffic.The cost of this topo is higher than all others
12. Bluetooth is a wireless technology.
