Personal Bias In Art Essay
I believe that this art piece represents the process of death into new life. In the video, a person releases what I would believe
is their life essence, and it travels through the many points of life such as the possible formation of atoms to the point of
DNA and its strands. Which then expands into bacteria as shown in the video. Which continues into plants and nature and
ends with the light landing. The sphere in the video gives a perfect and smooth feeling to the essence of life like a pure and
because of its geometric shape, this coupled with the centering of the sphere in the video makes it both the center of the
video but also the idea that this essence is the center of life. The color gold as well is one of purity and innocence as the
essence of life is as well.
The other video," Unexpected Outcome" shows a woman getting onto a train that both arrives and departs in it. For me, I feel
like this represents the idea of time passing as once the train departs all of the exterior areas cease to exist and rematerialize
once they arrive at the location. I feel this is the idea of the video as for me when times get tough or I have a lot to focus on,
time for me passes like nothing and everything around me passes without a second thought in my mind and once all is said
and done I snap back into reality and the world around me returns.
