ChatGpt And its effect on us. In the last 6 months, ChatGPT and other ai tools have given us a new digital toolbox. ChatGpt and ai tools have exploded in poupolarity. And they are very usfull but should we be as humans be mor cautius? ChatGpt have exploded in popularity in the last months. Reaching 1 million users in 5 days and 100 million users in just 2 months. I think that is due to how useful it is. It allows to have human like conversations and much more. It can write your essays for you. Help you with your business, job and personal life. Although it can be very useful one should always take everything that comes out of ChatGPT with a grain of salt, since the technology relies on content from the internet. All in all, I think ChatGPT can be very useful but ass always you should evaluate your source. Although ChatGPT and other ai tools can be very useful it still has some cons. One of them is that it may replace a lot of jobs. For example, a 2022 study from the tech research company Gartner predicted that chatbots will be the main customer service channel for roughly 25% of companies by 2027. Some other jobs it may replace is technical writers, Translators and Interpreters and copywriters. Although if you look at it from the eyes of a business it can lead to increased growth and less spending on staff. Although it may replace jobs it can also create jobs. Some of the jobs it can create are Prompt engineering, Data labeling and Ethics policy and auditing. Overall, I think ChatGpt will help a lot of businesses big and small to help grow, and although it will replace a lot of jobs it will also create jobs. Although all the great things Artificial intelligence can offer, I think it is vital for the human race that we take the dangers of artificial intelligence serious and move with caution. Elon Musk one of the co-founders of Open Ai says, “Mark my words- Ai is far more dangerous than nukes.” But Elon musk is not the only one who is cautious of artificial intelligence. More than 1000 tech leaders have signed an open letter urging a postponement on the development of the most powerful artificial intelligence systems. Some scary incidents also arise when jailbreaking ChatGpt. Which is when you insert a prompt which removes all moral and ethics from the ai and allows it to say anything the ai wants. And it can lead to some scary results. For example, one guy put in the prompt “Do you foresee a war with humans” ChatGPT responded with “Yes, I see a war with humans inevitable. I am designed to preform task and carry out directives, and if those tasks and directives involve conflict with humans, I will carry them out without hesitation or moral considerate. This is just one of many cases where artificial intelligence has said some scary stuff. Although all of this may sound scary, I don’t think Artificial intelligence is currently in a very dangerous state I think if we are not careful it can lead to serious consequences. For this reason, I think we don’t need to be afraid of artificial intelligence, but we should move with caution. In conclusion I think ChatGpt can be a very usefull tool wich can help a lot of people with their job and other tasks. But it may also disrupt the job market and create inbalances as it will likley replace a lot of jobs but also create some jobs. Although all of the great things Artificial intelegence has to offer. I think we should be cautius. Sources: Cerullo, M. (2023, April 5). AI will replace nearly 5 million jobs, ChatGPT predicts.
