Reading Beyond the Classroom - Group Worksheet
Your group has 10-15 mins to come up with answers to all of the questions below. You will then have 1-2
minutes to “pitch” your idea to the rest of the class. Feel free to answer the questions in whatever order.
1. What is the name of the book your team will write/publish?
2. (Briefly) What will the book be about?
3. Who is your target audience?
4. What genre is it? What tropes does it employ? Does it have an aesthetic? What will the cover be like?
5. What is your marketing plan for advertising the book? Talk about what platforms you will advertise on
(online or in-person), what the advertisements/events will be like, etc. Basically, come up with anything
you can do to get your book to go “viral”.
